17 Days to Go

It's the end of August, which means it's almost the end of summer, and the end of summer vacation. Although 3rd year students had extra morning classes from August 17th, This week is the first full week where students have classes from morning until the afternoon. After a long summer vacation, students should be refreshed and ready for school, right?

Not quite. In addition to having extra morning classes, 3rd year students have been working hard after school and throughout the vacation on preparing for this year's School Festival. Every year, it's a hectic time for students as they prepare, plan, and construct signs and props for their class' stall or attraction.

However, as 3rd year Senri students traditionally perform a play (演劇), each class has been rushing to complete all the preparation before the big day. Writing scripts, learning songs and dances, making props, and designing costumes - there are so many things to do, and only 17 days to go!

Feeling the pressure, many students are staying after school to help as much as they can to help make sure their class' play will be as good as it can be. I can't wait to see how their hard work and effort will pay off on the day of School Festival.
